The CPR for the Health Care Provider blended course is designed to certify Healthcare Providers and First Responders in the latest internationally accepted CPR and AED techniques for inside and outside hospital settings.
This course focuses on sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, airway obstruction, CPR, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) at the scene of an accident or sudden illness with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way.
This course has free access to the Emergency Oxygen Provider course.

- Healthcare professionals and providers (such as Doctors, Nursing Sisters, Ambulance Personnel, Biokineticists, Fire Fighters, Lifeguards, etc)
- Those who work amongst groups where the risk of cardiac arrest is high

How is the Course Structured
This blended course consists of 3 parts.
- Online Theory (Videos/ Presentations & Manual)

- The course has been broken down into smaller chapters / modules / topics for ease of training.
- Each module is no longer than 20 minutes in duration so it can be completed on breaks, between calls, between patients or when you have a spare moment in your busy schedule.
- Online Assessment

- You will require a mark of 80 % or higher to pass the Assessments and to complete the course.
- You will have a maximum of two (2) attempts at an assessment.
- Classroom Practical Demonstration and Assessment

- To progress and be accepted to a practical session the Online Theory portion needs to be completed first.

Duration
Online Completion Certificate
To qualify for access to the practical session you must study and complete all lesson module(s) and score the required passing grade of 80% or more in the assessments.
After completion of this online theoretical course, a link to download your online completion certificate will then automatically appear on your Profile page.
This certificate MUST be downloaded, printed and emailed to when registering for your CPR for Healthcare Practical session (See our training calendar for dates)Â and brought along to the Practical session.
Final Certification
Subject to a successful theory and practical assessment, all participants will be issued with a CPR for Healthcare Provider certificate accredited by the Emergency Care & Safety Institute.

- This course uses both a study guide which you can download and embedded video in each lesson module.
- Read the study material(s) in conjunction with the video lessons.
- When you have completed a lesson use the “MARK COMPLETE” button to tell us that you have completed the lesson and want to proceed with the next part of the course. Please note each section has a timer that is linked to the video duration, so you cant move to the next lesson till the previous lesson has been completed. The next lesson OR the assessment test for the lesson will then appear on the screen.
- Assessment Quiz: You will require 70% to successfully pass any Multiple Choice Questions quiz. You have two (2) attempts to pass the online test.
- Once you have successfully completed the last test, and the course is marked as complete, the system will automatically generate your Certificate of Completion.
