
The Wilderness First Aid course provides information on how to handle common injuries and illnesses when medical care is an hour away or more. Designed for individuals who require or desire wilderness first aid knowledge and skills, but are not professional responders; including game rangers, adventure guides, outdoor enthusiasts, camp counsellors and administrators, camp participants, park and forest rangers, and other occupations that work or travel in remote locations.
This comprehensive course will teach you what to look for and what to do in the event of an emergency.
A wide range of subjects is covered including:-
● Preparation and Assessment
● Preventing and Caring for Injuries.
● Environmental Hazards.
● Biological Hazards
● Medical Emergencies.

- Wilderness FA – Advanced: 5 days
- Wilderness FA: R 1,350.00 per delegate
- Wilderness FA – Advanced: R 2,000 per delegate

Succesfull participants will be issued with a Wilderness First Aid certificate approved by either one of the following accreditation agency depending on the course scheduled.


In addition the delegate will be issued a South African Department of Labour First Aid Certifcate to comply with local requirements for tour and field guides.
This qualification is valid for 3 years which can be renewed by attending a suitable re-qualification course.
